Do my files get uploaded to a server?

No. All PDF processing happens entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Your files never leave your device. We have no server that receives your documents.

Is my electronic signature legally binding?

In many countries, including the US (under ESIGN Act and UETA) and EU (under eIDAS), electronic signatures are legally valid for most documents. However, some documents require a wet or notarized signature. Consult a legal professional for specific requirements.

What PDF file size is supported?

Since processing happens in your browser, file size is limited by your device's memory. Most modern devices handle PDFs up to 100MB without issues.

Can I sign on my phone?

Yes. Quick PDF Sign is fully optimized for mobile — iPhone, Android, and tablets. The drawing tool supports touch input with smooth stroke rendering.

How do I draw my signature?

Click 'Sign PDF', upload your PDF, then tap '+ Add'. Choose 'Signature' and select 'Draw'. Use your mouse on desktop or your finger on mobile. You can undo, clear, and redraw until it looks right, then tap 'Place on PDF' and click where you want it.

Can I type my signature instead?

Yes. In the Add panel, choose 'Signature' then 'Type'. Enter your name, pick from handwritten-style fonts, adjust the size and color, then place it on the PDF.

Can I upload a signature image?

Yes. In the Add panel, choose 'Signature' then 'Upload'. Upload a PNG image — transparent backgrounds are recommended. Resize and reposition after placing.

Can I add text or dates to a PDF?

Yes. Tap '+ Add' and choose 'Text' to type any annotation, or 'Date' to stamp today's date. Both support font, size, and color customization from the properties panel.

Can I sign multiple pages?

Yes. The page thumbnail panel on the left lets you navigate between pages. Click any thumbnail to jump to that page and place your signature there.

Can I place multiple signatures?

Yes. Add as many signature, text, or date fields as you need. Each can be moved, resized, rotated, or deleted independently.

Can I use this for business documents?

Yes. You can upload company stamps or logos as image signatures. This is useful for invoices, contracts, and other professional documents.

What browsers are supported?

Quick PDF Sign works in all modern browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.

Can I fill in PDF form fields too?

Currently the tool focuses on signature placement. Full form filling is on our roadmap.

Does this work offline?

The page needs to load once, after which the PDF processing works entirely offline since everything runs in your browser.

How do I delete a signature I placed?

Click on any placed signature to select it, then press the Delete key, or click the trash icon in the toolbar.

Can I undo changes?

Yes. Press Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac) to undo the last action. You can also undo while drawing a signature.

How do I download the signed PDF?

Once you've placed all signatures, click 'Download Signed PDF'. The file is generated in your browser and downloaded immediately.

Is there a dark mode?

Yes. Click the moon icon in the navigation to switch to dark mode. Your preference is remembered for future visits.

Do you store any data about me?

No. We don't collect personal data, don't use analytics that track you, and don't require any account. Your signed PDF and signature data never reach our servers.

What's the difference between an electronic signature and a digital signature?

An electronic signature is any electronic indication of intent — such as a drawn or typed signature. A digital signature is a cryptographic mechanism providing stronger verification. Quick PDF Sign provides electronic signatures.

Is Quick PDF Sign open source?

We're evaluating open-sourcing the client-side signing engine. Check back for updates.
